About Me

I am a licensed psychotherapist in beautiful Santa Barbara, California. I grew up all over California: born in San Francisco, young adult years in Los Angeles, raised our children in South Pasadena,  psychotherapy offices in Palm Springs and San Diego along the way.  And now I am settled here in Santa Barbara near family -- the most beautiful place of all.

With over 20 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Loyola Marymount University specializing in Counseling Psychology, I enjoy working with a broad spectrum of clients. I have particular expertise working with couples, survivors of child abuse, adoption issues, sexual diversity, blended/step families, PTSD, and the emotional aspects of serious illness, grief and loss issues.

I admire the strength, resolve, bravery, vulnerability, grace and humor in people who are striving to overcome obstacles and become their best selves. I take a fairly direct yet supportive and down to earth approach. I don't just listen and nod, I interact with you every step of the way.
